Our hallway. Seven and counting…

When I first opened my bedroom door this morning, there was a dog standing there. This came as a bit of a surprise to me, as there are no dogs living in my house. The dog followed me into the bathroom, and then downstairs, as I tried to determine the origin of said dog. Apparently he belongs to my soon to be ex-housemate, who collected him from the RSPCA. He is going to be living in her new house with her.
Meanwhile, Rocky the eclectus parrot got all exciteable this morning, and was going the route of screeching like a madman (instead of just amiable talking to himself, miaowing, and ringing like our telephone as he usually does).
And in completely unrelated news, a 7 foot pet boa constrictor just spent 8 days inside the dashboard of an old Subaru in Los Angeles, wrapped around the brake and clutch pedals so the owner couldn’t drive anywhere. Today they managed to dismantle the dash and free the snake. No photos please, we’re British.
going down the laundry chute
exploits from our housewarming the other night…
setting up to go down the laundry chute (we used a couch as the anchor)
my housemate lowering herself into the chute (no idea what the downstairs neighbour must have been thinking about the noise we were making)
and she successfully made it to the bottom – quick going once she was actually in the chute.
hmmm, to dreadlock or not to dreadlock? meanwhile, cats and geckoes do not mix. while i was away, the cat that has been living in my house jumped on top of my gecko cage, bending down the wire of the cage, and allowing either 1) geckoes to escape; or 2) cat to eat geckoes. thankfully the same thing didn’t happen to the other tank of geckoes, who are living a life as refugees, after a narrow escape from death at the claws of at cat in their own original home.
the 2 bedroom unit i live in has become a menagerie: 5 people, 1 cat, 6 kittens, 1 rabbit and 4 geckoes. it’s developing an interesting smell in here. escaping to mt. arapiles on the weekend.
also, geekdom is complete, i’ve now placed a geocache of my own.
