look everyone!

It’s my new toy – I call him Van.

He’s still in need of some modifications… although I think I’ll leave the exterior as plain white, so I can sneak around pretending to be a courier, until I open up the back, and people will be wildly amazed by the treasures within.

And the fact that it appears to be a Ben & Jerry’s van. I can get behind anything that appears to be supporting the yummy icecream industry

Megan!

Dude, we should totally pimp it out! Drive it over to the States (I dunno how, maybe that land bridge or something) and we’ll custom install some 7″ flatscreen TVs where your passengers can watch climbing videos while you road trip. In the front, I’m going to put in a GPS system with a moving map. And I’m going to link it so you always have directions to the crags. And I’m also going to install a wireless internet system, so you can log your climbs as you send them. Then, I’m putting in a new sound system that you can hook up your Ipod to, and pump O-Dub as loud as you can through your new subwoofers and speakers! And then I’m thinking like a place you can do yoga after a climb. Like a pull out Yoga mat with some cool, soothing music and some waterfall sculpture on the side so you can relax. Finally, I’m going to install a hangboard and a set of rock rings on the back door, so you can do some strength exercises on the go. How about that?

Couple of kayaks and bikes on the roof, old mattress in the back ( I think Simmsy has some spares ) and ice cream stains on the front seats. What more could you need?

I’ll just drive it along the beach til I get there, should be no problem (well, that lady Val met in Iowa seemed to think it was possible, so I’m sure she was right)

The rest of your plan sounds just about right… but I think you’ve missed a few things. The hangboard and set of rock rings is getting there, but I think what I really need is a full woody on the side of the van – possibly with holds all the way around the outside, so a full van traverse is possible. And then maybe one side would fold out a bit so you’ve got some overhanging terrain as well. And the back of the van definitely needs a vibrating massage table of some sort.

darren: Well, I’m working on the icecream stains. Not quite there yet. And getting kayaks on the roof of that thing is harder than I expected – possible, but definitely not easy for the vertically challenged – that thing’s tall!

Today good day :)
