“super mice threaten seabirds”

Supersize mice that are eating chicks alive are threatening the world’s most important seabird colony, on British-owned Gough Island in the South Atlantic….

It’s only later they get to mentioning that they’re talking about albatross chicks that are nearly a metre tall, and weigh 10kg. Link to full article.

survival of the fittest – let nature run its course! or else its mother is going to get really pissed and send swarms of cicadas and grasshoppers and SLUGS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh, slugs! I don’t think we ever took photos of the evil slugs in Squamish – but they were enormous! And they liked lychee juice. Which is what we used to fend them off when they started attacking us when we were cooking dinner one night.

Yeah, the Pac N.West is known for it’s banana slugs. I once went hiking in the mtns of Washington – I saw a big mama and SCREAMED!!! Sure, I love the outdoors, but some of mother nature’s inhabitants really gross me out…

Slugs like beer – they drown themselves if you set out a glass of it.
