I had a few capsules of glucose-amine sitting on the coffee table. The kitty saw them, pounced on them and got a couple, which were taken off underneath the coffee table, where kitty proceeded to deftly open up the capsules, and lick at the powder within… who trained it to do that?! Darren, Vashti, I’m beginning to have serious doubts about your cat raising techniques.

about those cats
I am stepping into the role of ‘crazy cat lady’ more comfortably now. So here is an update on the animals I spend all of my time talking to.
Cat One has not changed much in behaviour. Maintains tendency to try and steal my lap and the slightest opportunity. Has become more pushy with this, and likes to compete with the laptop for my attention.
Cat Two has started to acknowledge my existence. Walks up to me making odd miaowing noises that sound more like a door creaking. Likes to brush past my legs, but ‘brush’ is perhaps not the best word for it. ‘Charge with sufficient force that human will fall over and cat will then be able to consume said human’ is a bit more like it. Will also scratch at my bedroom door while I am sleeping (Pay attention to me! I am a cat! Marvel at my cat-ness! You cannot marvel at me if you are asleep in another room! Let me in!)
dear darren and vashti
Proof that at least one of your cats is still alive
i for one…
I’m house-sitting at the moment, and feeding the cats that belong to the house. One of the cats is ignoring me, but the other welcomed me as its new overlord as soon as it realised I would be feeding it.
Meanwhile, back to the weekend adventuring – this was camp on Monday night. It’s on Mount Ramsay on Wilson’s Prom, the granite boulders are at the summit, and provided excellent dinner tables, as well as sun lounges.
