We went climbing on Sunday, at Annapolis Rocks, MD.

We climbed on rooves.

It was cold.

And it was snowing.

So we went home. The end.

Down the main street of Old Town Alexandria, there are two wig shops. Yes, that’s right, two. Apparently the residents of Old Town are particularly prone to hair loss. Maybe it’s the water. But whenever I walk down the street, I glance in at the wig shops. And every time, my eye is caught by this particulary dummy:

Is it just me, or is this a woman wearing a moustache? She cuts a very dashing figure, to be sure, but she also scares me. (And on a side note, her moustache is just a bit too long isn’t it? Eating or drinking would be fairly unfeasible)
[The door flies open and Cardinal Ximinez of Spain enters, flanked by two junior cardinals, Cardinal Biggles and Cardinal Fang]
Ximinez: NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise…surprise and fear…fear and surprise…. Our two weapons are fear and surprise…and ruthless efficiency…. Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency…and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope…. Our *four*…no… *Amongst* our weapons…. Amongst our weaponry…are such elements as fear, surprise…. I’ll come in again.
My recent trip to Red Rocks, Nevada, didn’t involve any peak bagging. The weather was good though. This is me at the base of the climb Johnny Vegas, in Pine Creek Canyon.

Welcome to Red Rocks, Nevada. Day One – clipping bolts in the Black Canyon.

(More photos behind a cut, for the benefit of those out there who still have their internet access provided by modems made of cardboard and string)
