Yesterday I experienced the worst massage I have ever had. Perhaps if I hadn’t have paid money for it, I wouldn’t have sat there hoping that it was going to magically get better, and maybe it wasn’t actually that bad. But no. My incompetent masseur was prodding and poking with all his force at things that weren’t even muscles, and was digging into my muscles, perhaps hoping to tear them from my body. My shoulders, previously feeling not sore at all, are now aching, and the muscles are feeling beaten up and bruised. Some of the Thai massages I had in Thailand were a bit rough, but at least they didn’t feel like torture. Then again, what do you expect from a massage stand set up in a mall? (we’ll ignore the question of why I was in a mall) Ack.
And to the Americans who thought their petrol was expensive – at the moment, in Australia, we’re paying the equivalent of $3.83-$3.97/gallon.
