to the climbers in america

Remember how I tended to get all worked up when in gear stores, muttering to myself, and occasionally curling up into a ball, rocking backwards and forwards, chanting “It’s not right, it’s so cheap, why is it so cheap?”, while chewing on a quickdraw? Well, here’s a sample of some Australian prices.

cringe. i don’t even sport and thats alot. side note. damn you girls with your blogs and time wasting activities linked on them. i’m all hooked now…

You could request a care package from your american friends, trade them iced vovo’s and tim tams for draws..ooohh and a nice cuppa too.

blk: Conversion rate is about the same as for Canadian dollars – OZ$1 = US$0.80. And admittedly that price tag includes tax as well. But still.

gabe: Yep, that’s why all the Aussie climbers you meet are so hardcore, we have to starve ourselves and live in cardboard boxes to feed our gear habit.

darren: Yes, I worked on this while I was over there – introduce them to the goodness of Australian chocolates and lollies, get them addicted, and then have them at your mercy! MUAH HA HA HAHHH!
