{"id":575,"date":"2007-12-27T19:11:14","date_gmt":"2007-12-28T03:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/evilmoose.shafted.com.au\/?p=575"},"modified":"2008-12-08T22:35:11","modified_gmt":"2008-12-09T04:35:11","slug":"completely-lacking-in-cougars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evilmoose.me\/?p=575","title":{"rendered":"completely lacking in cougars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We parked in a parking lot in the middle of Canmore (well, not the exact middle perhaps, but it was certainly surrounded by houses, and there were lots of people out walking their dogs and that sort of thing) and started walking up Cougar Creek.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"dropshadow\" style=\"width: 410px; margin: auto; position: relative;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/photos\/236292892-S.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/div>\n<p><center><em>Cougar Creek<\/em><\/center><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Partially frozen, the walking got interesting at times; there was some falling through to lower layers of frozen creek, hardly any cougar attacks, and lots of crossing back and forth across the creek.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"dropshadow\" style=\"width: 310px; margin: auto; position: relative;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/photos\/236292442-M.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/div>\n<p><center><em>And this would be why it&#8217;s nice to be the lightest one in the party<\/em><\/center><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A side fork and a couple of hours later and we were at the base of Ghoster Coaster, a WI3 route that is about 150 metres long.<\/p>\n<div class=\"dropshadow\" style=\"width: 310px; margin: auto; position: relative;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/photos\/236294187-M.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/div>\n<p><em><center>Climbing in a canyon<\/center><\/em><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately I don&#8217;t have a photo of the most interesting pitch, which was 50 metres of scrambling over driftwood that had been frozen into place.
