It could have been worse!  And now I don&#8217;t have to go there again for another year at least.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-MWKB5Cc\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0053-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Moosling skied for a little while from the carpark, then just got distracted trying to dive into the powder at the side of the trail.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-V2hBQ9L\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0051-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And so he was carried for a while&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-VBQMSL4\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0056-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before spending some time napping in the Chariot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-qw36dks\/0\/L\/20130126-IMG_0057-L.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After lunch at the lake, Alex dug a hole.  Then it filled with people.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-8T5Nthd\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0058-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A little running around at the lake, and then we started our descent.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-n8mVhrQ\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0067-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Moosling and I found an awesome method of descending &#8211; he could run between my legs while I held him and skied, lifting him up when we started going too fast for him to run.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-S3jWJtT\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0082-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-dHvZPTt\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0083-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Random-snow-Canada-2012-2013\/i-6p2g5fk\/0\/M\/20130126-IMG_0086-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We descended the the final kilometres of the path like that, and my thighs are still burning today (and I do have video footage, which I&#8217;ll have to try and edit and upload, because photos just don&#8217;t quite capture how amusing the whole thing looked).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Against my better judgement I visited that accursed lake again, and found the weather pleasant, the snow soft, and the crowds a little alarming.
