A mosquito-ridden hike."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mosquito-ridden it may have been, but at least it was scenic.<\/p>\n<p>It began with a roadside bull moose, as we were on our way to the trailhead. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Hiking\/Canada-2012\/i-44ctd4N\/0\/M\/20120702-IMG8105-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We set off, and the Moosling did a lot of hiking, until we hit the uphill.  He was very interested in the river though, and made a few side trips to see if he could get into it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Hiking\/Canada-2012\/i-5X4fWLZ\/0\/M\/20120702-IMG8112-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bridges were fun though, for trip-trapping over, and for throwing things off.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Hiking\/Canada-2012\/i-FzLWSv6\/0\/M\/20120702-IMG8116-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We reached the cirque, and Warspite Lake, and ate lunch while running around in circles being eaten by mosquitos.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Hiking\/Canada-2012\/i-LcB8VMv\/0\/L\/20120702-IMG8125-L.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And then on the way down there were pikas, and a lot more throwing things into streams.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Hiking\/Canada-2012\/i-mpzqz6z\/0\/M\/20120702-IMG8134-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rating:<\/strong> A good toddler walk, except for the one longer uphill section where he was grudgingly carried.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mosquito-ridden it may have been, but at least it was scenic.
