But still, I look back fondly on those days.  It hovered around -5oC or even warmer, I took the wee Moosling out skiing with me, children ran and played in the streets, the chickens were all laying well, and Christchurch was still in one piece.  Now it&#8217;s sitting on -17oC or some equally ridiculous temperature and oil wells are on fire in Libya.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Canada-Snow-2010-2011\/IMG0910\/1196775885_JG6sp-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><center><em>Heading up the first hill after leaving the Daylodge at the Nordic Centre.  I couldn&#8217;t see the trees.  Once I got off Banff trail I couldn&#8217;t even see the classic set tracks.<\/em><\/center>  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Canada-Snow-2010-2011\/IMG0911\/1196772824_52z7p-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><center><em>Looking backwards from the same spot, I&#8217;d barely been skiing for a minute, and already the Chariot was coated.<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, this was actually this time last week.
