Because it was early season.  And we were desperate.  And it seemed like a good idea at the time.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"dropshadow\" style=\"width:310px;position:relative;margin:auto;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evilmoose.smugmug.com\/Snow\/Early-season-snow-Dec-2009\/IMG9100\/734991290_eroH6-M.jpg\"\/><\/div>\n<p><center><em>Gorgeous bluebird, but it was also about minus 25oC at this point, and it really didn&#8217;t get much warmer<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When it&#8217;s that cold you spend the entire day wiggling your toes and fingers in the fight to stop them from going completely numb.  And it hurts!
